Stepping on the Highlands

Is poverty a byproduct of Mother Nature or rather the result of human injustice to control and subdue populations in many developing countries? Is poverty here to stay? Poverty stalls nations from striving and being productive. Decades of international aid, in forms of foods, money, and workforce aimed to relieve third world countries from poverty is not reaching its goal.My service in Africa, as a nurse, taught, helped, and saved a few people, but the reality is that it was like a drop of water in a vast desert of poverty.
