Beskrivelse
Artistic working processes present themselves as specific forms of relationship and interaction. Due to those the artist and his work of art mutually constitute themselves as such. This conceptual thought can psychologically and psychoanalytically be viewed as an act of subjectivation. The present study deals with the dynamics of artistic working processes from a methodological, conceptual and methodical-empirical point of view. It critically examines pivotal concepts such as fantasizing, sublimation, transitional object, identification and projection in their revelance for the central assumption of the material's subjectivation through the artist. The conceptual interrelations that are explicated in that way have to stand the test of being exposed to an evaluation of group discussions among artists. The author concludes that artistic work can be understood as a materially reflected altercation of dealing with fantasies of the work of art's subjectivity which eludes itself from without-ado encounter and relationship.
