Beskrivelse
In South Carolina, it is the Licensing Board for Contractors that processes all licensing issues. After passing the Commercial Business and Law Exam, one should attempt to take the Limited/Unlimited contractor exams. You want to have a minimum of 2 years of residential and/or commercial experience within the last 5 years to do so. The Limited/Unlimited status is more an issue that deals with one's financial strength. Residential building and commercial building share the same underlying principles and concepts although they have different preferences in methods and material as they need to support load and occupancy of different natures. Our study notes focuses on the relevant structural concepts, building material and safety procedures which are covered by both the Unlimited Contractor exam and the Limited Contractor exam. It is NOT intended to guide you through every single official topic. You should therefore use this book together with other reference books for the best possible preparation outcome.
