Sockey III

SOCKEY III is a sequel to SOCKEY that details the life and times of a nine year old African American boy from the projects of Detroit. from. Societal issues and changes from 1948 to 1958 are interwoven with his development to age eighteen when he joins the army. The sequel, SOCKEY III begins with his stay in the army and describes how he must utilize his "trance mode" to deal with the personal and sociological situations he encounters from 1958 to 1978. It is an involving story that views life through the eyes of an African American man.
