Social Stratification and Caste System
Preface
While writing these lines of the preamble, I am feeling very happy, because there is no lack of books in the market on sociology; But when you read this book, you will feel yourself why this book is different from other books. The objective of the author in the book is different theories, functions, Social Stratification and Caste System , influences, factors and different processes. To make them well-acquainted, appropriate examples are also given for the purpose of explaining these principles and procedures. Language and style are adopted in such a way that the initial knowledge of the subject can reach the students from the concept. The main focus is the same. It has been kept so that the students can understand the subject matter properly. Keeping in mind the convenience of the students, the subject has been given in simple language. The titles are given in Italian words as per the requirement. In the end, the objective questions are given. The book will be useful not only for university level readers but also for the students of Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) and Public Service Commission (PCS) of various states, it is my belief. How far this effort is successful is in the hand of the intensive readers. Your suggestions to improve it further are welcome.
