Beskrivelse

Social resilience is a dynamic concept that is complex and embedded in human-environment interactions and contextual diversities. Also, the interdependence of human in the social world evolves and contributes to their transformation with changing environments. "Social Resilience: A Primer for Everyone" is a pocketbook and a guide to a more fulfilling social life and comprehensive social well-being. After three years of intensive research to understand the concept of social resilience, I explored it in a number of contexts (including social psychology, climate change, disaster, and migration studies). I discovered that it is ultimately linked to several levels of person-environment interaction, as well as our social experiences and practices. Social resilience is shaped by our social experiences and interactions with the political, economic, cultural, and social environments. It is essential to recognise and emphasise the 'social' in social resilience. I believe that social resilience should be a component of our leisure, education, and work lives as a way of living and road to well-being.

This primer is designed to help everyone (including children) enhance their social lives by learning how to survive and flourish together. You will enjoy and learn by reading ABC of social resilience, followed by a list of 105 powerful keywords/actions used in this primer to characterise social resilience for all. This book will show the reader how to master the art of surviving and thriving together.
