Beskrivelse
Edda Melkorka is a girl who lives in Iceland. Edda speaks both Icelandic and English (but sometimes gets words mixed up) and she has plenty of interaction with people of other cultures. She is being raised with both European and North American influences, so she is as comfortable with root beer and Archie comics as she is with roasted sheep face and Spanking Day.
In this book, Edda celebrates Pride Weekend in Reykjavik and learns about acceptance and respect. The Edda books are inspired by conversations between Gramma, Robyn and Edda. The books are written in a style that is honest, age-appropriate, funny and educational. These books feature adventures with family members and friends on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean, and they address learning about social issues, values, getting along and other important life lessons.
