The only life James has ever known is as Ricin's science experiment; a unique, perfect mutant destined to fulfill the role as Ricin's accomplice.
But upon learning of Ricin's dark plans, James flees to live a "normal" teenage life.
Ricin's determination knows no bounds, though, and he finds a way to keep James in line.
Matters spiral out of control for James and weigh down on his conscience. Living his worst nightmares, his mutant abilities become a curse.
All seems lost for James when an unexpected mentor gives him hope-but first, James must find a way to stop Ricin from dominating humanity...or is he already too late?
