This is an action-packed magical adventure guaranteed to enthral. After four cousins survive a terrifying storm at sea they arrive on Snapper Rock, a weird and wonderful island. Snapper Rock looks like paradise but it certainly isn't. The islanders live in fear of sea snappers, huge vicious birds with razor-sharp teeth. They are also terrorised by the cruel and evil Fire King who forces everyone to work in terrible conditions in his underground caves. After one of the children mysteriously vanishes, the others set out to rescue her. During their search they meet some very curious characters and creatures, but they also discover a sinister plot which could have catastrophic consequences...
