Small town with a Big City Disease begins with the betrayal and imprisonment of a naive eighteen-year-old country boy from rural Arkansas. Before it ends, the boy, whose name is Broke, returns from prison and must battle the forces of skinheads and Ku Klux Klan's who are terrorizing his hometown and kidnaps women he loves. Broke then moves back to Pine Bluff, Arkansas where he was framed. He joins forces with a former prison comrade named Cream and goes after the ruthless drug dealer who framed him. In their efforts to bring down the dealer and his crooked cop friends, Broke and Cream manage to free another of their prison comrades from prison. The mentor and friend, whose name is Brick, has his own vendetta against the crooked cops who framed Broke. All hell breaks loose in Pine Bluff when the militant minded Brick takes command and leads his handpicked group of ex-felons into battle against crooked cops, drug dealers, gangs and every other vice plaguing the black community. With unlikely allies aiding them in their fight and the women who love them at their sides, Brick, Broke and Cream become the saviors of the black community. Their fight will become your fight as you laugh, cheer and cry with these tireless fighters in this well-written tale of black redemption.
