After spending more than 20 years as a small town daily newspaper publisher, I retired early to assist my father, who was dealing with terminal cancer. The book chronicles the major events that took place while I managed more than 20 different newspapers in five different states. From replacing a murdered publisher at my first newspaper, until being sued three times in the first year at my last, the book proves that even being the publisher of small town newspapers can be a pretty exciting profession.
