Slowly, Gradually, Gently

After months of medical appointments and a devastating diagnosis, the surgeon tells Gina that the rare cancerous tumor growing on the top of her left femur can be removed surgically; she feels gratitude and immense relief. But when bouts of frustration, depression, and despair plague her during her long and ongoing recovery, Gina realizes that mourning of her old life before cancer is as challenging as learning to walk again. Over time, Gina learns coping strategies and meets various therapists and people who help her along. Slowly, gradually, and gently she is finding her way to the new life waiting for her.
