Beskrivelse
Sleep Perchance is the story of a woman who escapes the unsolvable problems of real life by diving into the realm of sleep, where she is able to live a thousand lives in a single night. However, the idylls of the dream world are not what they seem to be.
This narrative poetry collection explores a sapphic cottagecore wonderland that soon reveals itself to be a thin veneer over some very real anxieties that can only be dodged for so long: heartbreak, isolation, lack of control, and a fear of being a side character in somebody else's story.
Accompanied by beautiful vintage illustrations, Sleep Perchance invites you to explore the journey between ending one chapter and beginning anew with more power than you ever thought possible.
I met a girl among the hyacinths
with a bottle of dandelion wine on my hip
our eyes locked and I breathed in
the nectar in the air, too potent
to drink and stare, too strong to swallow.
all was well
all was very well
as long as I looked in the right places.
