Beskrivelse
When her husband's vindictive young mistress aggressively disrupts Tam's life, she seeks safety at her brother's house in the small South Wales coastal village of Skerrid Mawr.
The route to justice is complicated by her antagonist's diplomatic status, so with her brother's help, Tam seeks to draw her away from London and into Skerrid Mawr to prove to the US Consulate that she should be extradited. However, this needs to be done without media intrusion, as both Tam's estranged husband and her brother are prominent figures within the Civil Service with reputations to protect.
It becomes evident that this is not just a run-of-the-mill marriage breakdown, but has its roots in a conflict at a sporting event some thirty years previously, the Modern Pentathlon World Event in 1992, held just after the reunification of Germany.
Tam, her brother and his East German wife know that they need to act fast if they are to prevent further havoc, but how exactly?
Seeking both thinking time and personal liberation, Tam decides to find temporary solace at the vast Sker Beach, which she knows is frequented by naturists, though she is unsure of where exactly this 'clothes-free' area is to be found. She meets a mature, good-looking man en route who is a regular visitor to the area and a naturist himself. He offers to chaperone her, which Tam accepts, but is he too good to be true?
