Princess Nadia of the Five Oceans is cursed and sent to live on land, and her arrival is foretold to King Darren and Queen Ariana of the Kingdom of Noelle through a dream. However, the prophecy is intercepted when Nadia is sold into slavery. The burden of seeing the prophecy fulfilled now falls onto Polaris, the Royal Advisor who recognized it. Matters only become more complicated when he learns that Queen Ariana herself is behind Nadia’s predicament and with King Darren tightly wrapped around the queen's finger, Nadia may be safer where she is.

        Meanwhile, the queen’s longtime friend and former High White Knight, Sir Rallian, Count of Helvetica, dreams of owning mermaids and believes Nadia, whom he owns, to be one. Poor Rein Bow, even with wings again, feels terribly overpowered against this new villain and joins Polaris and his resources in their cause. Can these new friends together free Nadia from the clutches of slavery and see the prophecy fulfilled, or does Polaris and his friends lack the necessary resources to fight against the Crown? Can Nadia keep her many dangerous secrets from the clever count long enough to be freed from his grasp?
