Shy Am I

The 'Shy Am I' picture book tells the story of a boy who learned to overcome his shyness and make friends. Shyness in children can stand in a child's way of making friends and trying new things. Feeling shy may sometimes reflect lack of self-confidence in a child. The authors of this book, singer-songwriter Larissa Grabois and guitarist-songwriter Mitchell Tonelson, aspire to help young readers start a path to overcoming shyness in social settings and to making friends. This book is based on an original story by a children's educator, Judi Weinberger.
