Shrouded in Secrets

It's springtime in the small coastal town of Quinby Haven. The bed and breakfast, Rousseau's Retreat, is fully booked. Among the curious mixture of guests are a possible long-lost heir, a fussy, high-maintenance writer, a sad little man toting a backpack, and a woman who is doing a poor job of faking her vacation. And as the Fates would have it, each and every one of them has something to hide. So do some of the town's local residents.

But secrecy is a dangerous thing. Secrets have the power to hurt others. They're often driven by fear or greed. And there are no secrets that time does not reveal. Especially in a small town.

When an elderly man goes missing while treasure hunting, his wife calls upon a well-known group of amateur sleuths to help track him down. A missing person case is a far cry from many of the group's previous investigations - a trampled flower bed, "stolen" advertising flyers, a lost pet. But they can't desert a friend in need.

However, things go downhill quickly. Roni Gilchrist and Lillie Tillman stumble upon a dead body and become the prime suspects in a murder case. Before they know it, they're entangled in several mysteries at once. Can their friends help prove Roni's and Lillie's innocence before they're formally arrested by the town's newest police officer? They'll need to navigate their way through all the secrets. Will they be able to find the real killer before there's another murder?
