Shot in the Arm

This novel is the story of Malcolm Maclaren, a teenage boy living in the Tweed valley in the 1960s. At school he becomes an expert marksman, and this talents leads to the shooting of a maths master. The man's death is not intended. Is Malcolm guilty of manslaughter, and if so, how should he be punished? The book was written for a young adult readership, but it is also intended as holiday reading for tourists visiting Scotland.
