Beskrivelse
Shookie, a feisty Appalachian woman, recalls the good times and tribulations of being the lifelong friend of Missouri Howard in a one-woman performance piece. This play is an oral history of growing up in the 1920's and 30's in the small coal-mining town of Persimmon, West Virginia. Shookie reveals a lifetime filled with berry pickin', cornshuckin', candy drawin', Granny Women, crazy quilts, and a dog named Bouncin' Ring.
