Shine Your Light is simply written to provide guidance and support for anyone wanting to understand the basics of how to build their self-worth and increase their self-esteem.
Author and counsellor Susan Malone-Hoyle shares some of her own personal journey and experience of low self-esteem, and how she worked through and continues to work on the impact of her past trauma on her value of worth. Susan shares how, with a positive mindset, letting go of negative experiences do not need to continue to impact on our lives. Shine Your Light has worksheets throughout the book that allow the reader to keep a record of their journey and learn about their own self-esteem and the changes they can make. Susan also describes the journeys of some of the people she has worked with, and how they have learned to value themselves using her suggested guidance. Her clients share some of the challenges they have faced and how they have changed their lives with Susan's help.
