As they go on heists and adventures, Mel works as an escort in the real world. They were her closest friends, and they helped her throughout her life-even if they didn't know it. 

As she deals with a cruel reality, Melancholy finds herself feeling more at home in this dream world and longs to stay there permanently. She would die to adventure in Jelarai with her friends. Although she knows that the world she escapes to might just be a figment of her imagination, she doesn't mind. Dreams are always better than reality.

Working at the club Babydolls was not where she thought her life would go, but when you have no family and no money, you had to take what life gave you and make shitty lemonade out of it.
