A novel hypothesis describing brain circuitries and synaptic plasticity variations between genders thus leading to susceptibilities of Alzheimer's disease in females. A clear, concise and current exploration into sex differences in the pathogenesis and presentation of Alzheimer's disease during their respective presymptomatic, early symptomatic and late stages. Effects of emotions, trauma and stress impacts upon the brain environment are also explored, along with gender brain dimorphism, cardiovascular and disease risk predisposing one to Alzheimer's disease onsets. Prevention and treatments are further discussed.
