Beskrivelse
Jim Rapp presents a series of 26 brief studies of the Sermon on the Mount. These provocative pieces are written to show that Jesus meant what he said. The author believes that Jesus' teaching is as much a part of the redemptive work he came to do as was his death on the cross; that he came to introduce us to the kingdom of heaven here and now and that his moral teachings are intended to guide us as we live in that kingdom awaiting the day when, by the sacrifice of his blood, we will gain entrance into the eternal reward that awaits us beyond this life. Without the map of Jesus moral teachings few who come to believe in him would continue along that narrow path that leads to life everlasting. Without the blueprint provided by Jesus moral teaching most will build lives that look little different than those of their neighbors living in the kingdom of this world. Those who hear the words of this "best loved, least observed" sermon, and practice them are like a wise man who built his house upon a rock. Storms of doubt and temptation are unable to destroy a house thus built.
