This indispensable volume contains a selection of papers presented at the 9th Italian Conference on Sensors and Microsystems, organized by AISEM (Associazione Italiana Sensori e Microsistemi). Many essential aspects of the disciplines related to advanced sensors and microsystems are covered, ranging from nano- and new materials to applications, multifunctional systems, micromechanics, and new technology. 83 papers from 103 institutions are featured, an indication of the very active research currently progressing in Italy.
