The act of worship is a basic human instinct. Whether people are civilized or barbarians, they use to worship to some kind of God or divine being. Historical data tells us that sun worship predates the Christ by at least four or five millennia. People of many traditions and cultures have prayed to the Sun as the giver of life, light and heat; they treated the sun as benefactor of mankind. The sun is considered as visible embodiment of natural and supernatural powers, the dispeller of darkness, the giver of warmth and the bestowed of life. (Krzysztof Stec, 2012)
1.2 THE SUN IN HINDU SCRIPTURES:
In India, the sun worship dates creates from prehistoric times. The Hindu scriptures are full of hymns praising the Sun-God, extolling his
