Beskrivelse
Buddhahood, enlightenment, nirvana, and even veganism: these are common associations with meditation. While this book does not seek to dissuade readers from those interests, it does seek to remedy the unfortunate outcome that the non-spiritual benefits of meditation are overlooked by most people due the practice's spiritual connotations. Meditation does not have be centered around a spiritual or religious set of motivations. Meditation is a practice with physiological and cognitive upside, but unfortunately meditation's popular spiritual associations obfuscate its potential, preventing average people from recognizing its many benefits. This book will introduce meditation as a non-spiritual practice similar to aerobic exercise or weightlifting. Meditation is for everyone. It does not have to be clothed in religious rituals and spiritual language. It can be established into your daily routine, and you can enjoy an increased quality of life as a result.
