INTRODUCTION NOVELLA Frank and John are in the courtroom. Their friend, Pete, is on trial for murder. The District Attorney seeks the death penalty, but Pete's attorney is Marcy Adams. She intuits that, despite the evidence, there is a way to get the jury to acquit her client.
