Beskrivelse
Emphatically, nature's drama is on display in the Great Basin. We see this every day on the ranch. Big skies, high mountains and deep, dry valleys are all shown to us in an ever- changing panorama. This Basin and Range Province is the most mountainous region in the continental United States. There are few trees and all the rivers flow inward. In some places these rivers would not even qualify as creeks. Pausing on a horse in the midst of cow work, one notices small things. Perhaps it is a water drop on a wild peach blossom or a hen quail track in the snow. A lone chukar partridge calls across the canyon. The more time we spend here, we begin to see beyond what the first-time visitor notices, which might only be a snow-capped peak or an endless sage-covered valley.
