Beskrivelse
This anthology contains new poems by the author, covering a variety of themes. Like his previous collection, 'Shelling Peas', this book covers a variety of topics. On the subject of memory, 'His Overcoat' is based on a personal event, and 'Olga' is about an old lady's memory failing her on a daily basis. Some poems are historical in nature - 'Tethered' was derived from a scene on television and 'Broken Meats' evolved from a phrase discovered in a book. 'Ms Shannon Frog' and 'Humboldt' are both poems about nature and there are some with a romantic theme, namely 'Epicentre' and 'Fireworks'. Poems such as 'Following The Plough', and 'Pressing The Flesh' offer some perspective on fame and the famous.
