Beskrivelse
Because history is nothing more than a natural footprint left by the people who walked it before we did, the telling of their lives should be conveyed to the listener in the same spirit that footprint was pressed into the earth. In other words, the real life characters of the past (the good ones and the bad ones) at least deserve to have their stories accurately described. Sea Buzzards does that. Our received version of what, when, and who has been tampered with diluted facts, vague extrapolations, outright mistruths. They are told every day to Americans. Even children are being denied the use of their own spectacles. What they may read has already been bleached. Lies. This disenchanting side of human beings was well-thought through by those we call our founding fathers. The truth is, they were helped, but that should not take away from the brave men and women who paid an enormous price for the right to be free from the mandates prescribed by kings and other oligarchs. Sea Buzzards is a collection of stories about some of those people. Although some are more famous than others, they indeed lived. It is because of these men and women, and thousands more just like them, that we today have the right to speak the truth. Something that history has taught us.
