Truly original horror stories are hard to find. SCRAVIR, now on its fifth printing, is one of those.
A naive bunch of London students head north to Whitby on the North Yorkshire Coast. They are there to join the thousands attending the famous Goth Weekend that celebrates the town's links to the Dracula story. While a mysterious guest star's music rocks the Pavilion real corpses and worse are appearing on the streets. Dark forces are mingling with the thrill seekers. Outside Daniel Murray has never believed in the supernatural. Local girl Tiffany Harrek is not so sure. If they are to survive the next 24 hours they have to wise up. Fast. The story's complex nemesis Thor Lupei leaves Dracula looking little more than a one-dimensional late night blood-sucker.
The story is set in Whitby, UK and in Romania and incorporates a variety of narrative forms: letters, emails, text messages, police reports, answerphone messages, autopsy reports and more.
"Intelligent, intense, packed with twists and genuinely original."
