Beskrivelse
This is David Kraft's first poetry book and it includes his early childhood poems, writings from his early twenties, from his late thirties and early forties. The poetry in this book is in no particular order; however, dates have been included for historical purposes. The early poems are very strange mutterings from the author's distant past and may, for some, be difficult to read. Poems from the period 1993-1995, by contrast, are desperate outbursts of fear, anger and despair interspersed with outpourings of pure love: these writings vary in length and, apart from some exceptions, are extremely emotionally charged. The later work, from the period 2012-2014, are socio-satirical poems which attack modern-day society, and it is these poems which have become popular in the various poetry readings in Enfield and Barnet. Finally, there are the various haikus which, as brief as they are, condense a great deal of information on modern civilization into three short lines of poetry. This book has got something in it for everyone and I hope that you enjoy reading it.
