Scarborough Fair, recorded by among others Simon and Garfunkel, Andy Williams, Sarah Brightman and Sergio Mendes is a traditional English folk song, ballad and broadside dating back to at least 1650. It's most likely based on an obscure Scottish ballad, The Elfin Knight but is very typical of an English ballad from the 17th century. Simon and Garfunkel had a smash hit based on the melody in 1968 and before this Bob Dylan borrowed the melody to create his song Girl from the North Country. In popular culture it's been featured in films and on TV like for instance The Graduate, The Wonder Years and No me la puc treure del cap and the song is often performed at weddingsDuet Sheet Music for Violin accompanied by Trombone arranged by Lars Christian Lundholm.
