Last year my daughter lost my grandson. His little siblings have coped very well in their pursuit of recovery over this tragedy. Recently, however, my 4-year-old grandson has begun displaying signs of distress and heartbreaking grief. His mother called me and asked what she should do to help him. I have put this coloring book together especially for him and other children who may be suffering, to assist them in their journey of grief recovery. I hope if you have young children, who are suffering loss and its associated grief, that this book will help you, help them. Children grieve as adults do; at their own pace and in their own way. Recovery is based on belief fundamentals, maturity, understanding, and past experiences with loss. Young children may not yet have these assistive devices from which to draw. I hope that this little coloring book will help you help those sweet souls who grieve without experience or understanding. The sufferings of death are not reserved for adults. Your children and grandchildren are grieving without life's experiences to assist them. I implore you not to ignore their silent or confused pleadings for help.
