Savvy Yazzy Storytelling with the Griot is about a young girl named Yazzy who travels with her parent from the United States to West Africa, in Guinea-Conakry, to visit the Fulani ethnic group. Yazzy is interested in learning about culture and traveling around the world. In this second book, she and her best friend, Bouba, will listen to storytelling from the griot. The griot will share a story about the history of the land of Fouta Djallon. Yazzy will learn about the division of the provinces of Fouta Djallon, which will inspire her to think about her passion.
