Savannah Jean Pearl is new to the neighborhood. Savannah's new neighbors, Julie and Chucky Hobbs, relentlessly tease her about her dark-skin and warn her if she doesn't wash it away then she shouldn't even bother coming back over to play. Crushed, Savannah takes matters into her own hands to rid herself of her own chocolate brown skin.
