Lai Pek is a self-made man and proudof it. He has reached middle age asuccessful businessman and patriarchof a thriving family. His outlook on lifeis smug, self-satisfi ed and complacent. But no one goes through life unscathedand, like a tiger silently creepingthrough the jungle, adversity stalks LaiPek, striking swiftly.
