An expedition to capture Bigfoot in the Mississippi Valley in 1900
Pierre Dudas and Anna Garnier have returned King Gor to the Jungles of Africa and the powerful board members of the Paris Zoo are NOT pleased they have lost their premiere animal for the 1900 Paris Expo. To try and appease them, fellow adventurer Colton Maguire suggests they mount an expedition to America and capture a creature from Indian legend- Sasq'ets.
Along with Sasq'ets, Colton says they should also capture giant crocodiles - up to twenty five feet long- and four-foot snapping turtles from the Louisiana swamps just in case they are unable to capture the elusive Big Foot. While not as impressive as an actual Sasquatch, these giant beasts would be a big draw for zoo patrons. At least that way, he explains, they will be sure to have something to show the board of directors when they return.
With time running short before their marriage, Pierre and Anna's head to America to join up with Colton and two Indian guides to search out these fantastic beasts. Since Henry Larchmont from the zoo board provides them with a ship, they are unable to stop Daniel Larchmont, his son from joining the expedition. Little do they realize he has murderous intentions.
Between hired assassins, traincar gunfights, and a dangerous legendary creature to find Pierre, Anna, and Colton have their hands full as they trek up the Mississippi Valley in the dead of winter to find the elusive creature.
This is a stand-alone book with many of the same characters from King Gor, in the author's Alternatives series.
