Beskrivelse
Cowboys are icons of the American West. They represent courage, work ethic, perseverance, and the independent spirit. Their most valuable partner is their horse; they work together with livestock, checking fences and much more. The saddle they share must fit them both as they ride the trail. In this tale Rusty the Ranch Horse's saddle looks a little different than the others. Rusty and his cowboy live by "The Code of the West" showing that character far outweighs what things look like. The Code is included in this book as the cow dog helps to highlight an attribute from it on each page. Wyoming was the first state to write a code of ethics into its legislature. Rusty and His Saddle is written in rhyme and illustrated in bold watercolor. It is created by a mother and daughter team under the big skies of Wyoming in collaboration with Rusty the Ranch Horse. Ride along with Rusty and his cowboy for a day of work and lessons as they lead by example and use the code for your own life.
