In the heart of this beautiful yet contested terrain, a tradition initiated by Wakanpani, the spiritual messengers of the Lakotan Great Spirit, unfolds. Since the 1930s, when Rushmore was born from the blast of dynamite and the stroke of the chisel, this decennial gathering has been a revered event. The attendees arrive in their prime, but not all will leave the same way. A battle of wills and wit ensues, leaving only one victorious party.

Before the battle, each group retreats to train and study modern history. The presidents, accompanied by their female counterparts, engage in enlightening conversations with contemporary activist couples.
