Root of all Evil

What if a charismatic French detective, Luc, burst onto the scene in Tahiti and wreaked havoc on the hearts of unsuspecting women living in Mo'orea? What if at the same time an outrageous kidnapping plot were unfolding in a Maryland state prison cell that would jeopardize Sophie's precious stash of lottery money? And what if this plot necessitated Alan's hasty escape from prison and an unlikely trio of American women in Tahiti to join forces to investigate possible kidnapping suspects, only to regret finding themselves falling under these men's romantic spells instead? As a backdrop to all of this mayhem, what if the near impossibility of humanity's ability to forgive one another posed a threat to fragile romances, especially in the face of intentional lies? Unfortunately, death never distinguishes between good and bad human beings, either. In time it touches those from every hidden corner of the world, equally and however inconveniently. The root of all evil, universal and from time immemorial, remains man's ill-fated obsession with acquiring, possessing, and firmly holding onto money at all cost.
