Max Morgan was employed by one of the first computer firms in the country in the mid-seventies and worked on the manufacturing side with some of the tiny components that make up a computer, and she saw them as characters. One of the characters suffers from memory loss, much like the author's mother did while suffering from Alzheimer's Disease. As a result, one aim of this book is to raise awareness of Alzheimer's Disease.
