For too long hormones have been approached as an issue unique to women's health but largely ignored in maintaining men's optimum health. Properly balanced hormones as determined by an individual's own body can help resolve bladder and prostate problems, osteoporosis, rising cholesterol, heart disease, loss of strength, loss of libido and sexual performance, and many other ailments. Solutions are often relatively inexpensive and with few side effects. A general theme is that maintaining a proper internal chemistry is critical in resolving many illnesses or even preventing them entirely. This book puts special emphasis on hormones but also notes the importance of nutrients and exercise in maintaining a body that was probably most healthy during a man's 20s and 30s. This book is not intended as comprehensive medical advice but provides the reader with the knowledge to ask important questions of his medical doctors and manage his own health as he ages.
