Beskrivelse
Two separate sequences of events influenced and enabled the country of Canada to become whole. Robert Baldwin and Louis-Hippolyte LaFontaine broke ground against great odds to build the democratic foundations we know today. Through fear, even intimidation, the Fenians galvanized Canadian public opinion to look favourably on the idea of Confederation. That together, the provinces of Canada formed a stronger, more secure union that would embrace and protect its citizens. All of this occurred on The Road to Confederation.
