Rigveda

The meaning of 'Rik' is praise. The Rigveda praises Gods Indra, Agni, Rudra, the two Ashwini Gods, and other Gods such as Varun, Marut, Savitru and Surya.

The Rigveda gives immense importance to the utilization of the energies of nature. There are thousands of bhajans (devotional songs), singing the praises of the Gods. The bhajans are made up of varied mantras. Humans get benefit by reciting these mantras.
