Beskrivelse
The realization that a female child with Cerebral Palsy is hitting puberty is enough to cause trepidation in the heart of many parents, especially where the child is severely physically impaired and needs assistance with all or most activities of daily living.
Most parents wonder how to prepare their daughter for the realities of puberty such as periods, the emotional changes and relationships with the boys, preventing abuse and how to handle all these unavoidable realities.
In this book, I do my best to chronicle the specific steps and things that my parents did to prepare me for puberty safely; laying the bedrock for a future where I make and own my own choices, including those related to Sexual and Reproductive Health.
