Poor and neglected children in Palermo's old quarter, Borgo Vecchio, rebel against abusive adults and start a revolution that eventually spreads throughout the city. The state crushes the violent revolt, but the little heroes refuse to give up. Their dream of victory seems impossible, even crazy, but the children are not alone.
