Reunion

To most, elves, dwarves, orcs and other metahuman races are just fantasy and legend. But Skyla Maynard knows better, that's because she's one quarter elf and an independent government contractor as an investigator for the highly secretive Metahuman Affairs Investigative Division, (M.A.I.D) With her partner, a talkative pixie named Jesa, she has become one of M.A.I.D's most successful investigators of crimes by metahumans on the east coast. When a case goes sideways, Skyla has to run from orc bikers and gets some unexpected help from an old friend from junior high. Evan Riley isn't the small shy nice kid she knew in school, he's grown, a lot. When Evan helps her with the bikers, Skyla is encouraged by her boss to recruit him as a partner. Helping Skyla has introduced Evan to a world that he thought was just fantasy and he's willing to help. Skyla can agree to having another partner, but a boyfriend? Jesa thinks so.
