Return to Oundle Street

Tess, now preparing her divorce from Michael, after 23 years sets off to revisit neglected friendships and relatives from the past. Back in Norwich she looks forwards to being reunited with her children, but this does not go as she planned. Then she returns to Burgundy, and on the way she meets American lawyer Jack, an encounter that may develop into a more significant relationship. Her friend Jo's brother is murdered in Ibiza and she goes to his rather strange funeral in Lancashire. Then suddenly she is off again as more dramatic events take place in the Adriatic. Finally Tess has a "meltdown" under the strain of it all.
