This work analyzes interpersonal violence in 14th-17th century Valencia and Catalonia using a qualitative, microhistorical approach. It explores revenge, warfare's impact on Muslim communities, banditry, piracy, mercenary activities, witch trials, and suppression of non-normative behaviors, highlighting violence's role and socio-economic dynamics.
